A small selection of images from a trip to Egypt. Current political conditions notwithstanding, Egypt is a fantastic place to visit and my experiences with the people we encountered were informative and inspiring too. As a people, regardless of their political, religious or economic status, I learned that they are for the most part hard working, intelligent, fiercely proud- especially of their heritage- and that simply, they want the same things as we do…a comfortable place to live, a decent job, to provide for their children and for the world to allow both that it be a better and a safer place for their children, and of course to enjoy life. The land of Egypt is a land of contrast and contradiction however, where new is built immediately next to ancient, where the desert meets the water or where the chaos of an open street market reveals incredible variety and beauty…
